Barossa Music School

Barossa Music School previously located at Barossa Music Centre, is now located at Faith Lutheran College, from Term 4, 2017.

The Music School offers private music tuition for students of all ages from beginners through to advanced levels on guitar (all styles), bass guitar, drums & percussion, piano, keyboard, vocals, violin, clarinet & saxophone.

Lessons are run according to the school term with a 30 minute allocated class held weekly.

All enquires can be direct to Jo Buck at the Barossa Arts & Convention Centre on 8561 4299.

Michelle Allibon-Burns
Vocal
  • Bachelor of Music (Performance) Elder Conservatorium of Music
  • 27 years experience as a vocal teacher
  • 12 years as a chorus member with State Opera SA
  • Passionately focused on teaching from her classical technique basis to enable each individual to find their own expression through their singing
Peter Banks
Drums
  • Certificate AMEB Grade 6
  • Teaches all styles of drums
  • Over 45 years experience with big bands, rock & jazz bands
  • Enjoys the challenge of teaching drums & has seen many of his students go on to further their studies at university
Jan Brealey
Piano
  • Dedicated teacher at Barossa Music
  • Holds her LMus diploma
  • Enjoys teaching students through AMEB exams
  • Well known musical identity
  • Full member of the South Australian Music Teachers Association
Chris Isaacson
Saxophone | Clarinet
  • Diploma of music (Performance)
  • Playes in local jazz band "All Souled Out"
  • From classical to improvisation, Chris has lots of fun teaching his students
Siobhan Manella

  • An instrumental teacher who works with students of varied ages & abilities
  • Loves to see her students progress & gain confidence in their skill, joy for playing & performing on their instrument
  • Co-led the Catholic School Music Festival String Ensemble in 2017, working with students from various Catholic School across Adelaide for their performance at the Festival Theatre

  • Loves teaching piano
  • Experienced teacher at all levels and ages for students working towards AMEB exams or just for leisure
  • A modern approach to learning music using keyboards and digital pianos incorporating theory
  • Robyn is a Nationally Accredited Yamaha Clavinova & Keyboard teacher
Cameron O'Riley

  • Diploma in music (won outstanding achievement in music - top of his class)
  • Cameron teaches all styles of guitar specialising in bass
  • Being young, he loves his approach to teaching & feels the students respond well
  • Willing to learn what the student wants to learn with personalised lessons
Bec Peregi
Vocal
  • Bec teaches correct singing technique, breath control, vocal warmups etc
  • She has a vocal career spanning 20 years & has sung in various Adelaide bands
  • Support act for James Rayne in 2009
  • Passionate about music and enjoys writing her own songs
  • Bec takes pride in nurturing & guiding her students to be the best they can be
Doug Stuart
Guitar
  • Doug has many years of experience playing and teaching guitar
  • He can teach a variety of styles including blues, rock, jazz, bottleneck, side guitar, acoustic & theory
  • He studied Jazz at Adelaide Uni & has supported bands such as Deep Purple, Status Quo, Paul Stanley (Kiss), John Swan & Beccy Cole
  • Staright forward approach to teaching enabling the students to quickly see results
Trish Townsend

  • Trish has furthered her own study to 8th grade piano, 5th grade theory & 8th grade electronic organ
  • A member of the Music Teachers Association of South Australia
  • Loves the structuure of learning music through exams especially the AMEB system
  • Enjoys seing the positive satisfaction of her students as they learn & enjoys sharing their musical journey
Katherine Treilyn
Piano | Saxophone | Clarinet | Flute
  • Diploma in Classical Music, woodwind
  • She aims to create well rounded young musicians
  • Offers her time as a mentor to school bands
  • Loves helping her students connect their music through emotion (musicality)
